KEGA 006UKF/4-2017 Contrastive analysis as an effective supporting method of teaching English pronunciation at primary schools
Project
The project is aimed at the improvement and extension of the practical teacher training, which is in the focus of the OECD countries in relation to the results of the international PISA measurements in recent years. Teaching practice in the submitted project is based on the research results in the area of psycho didactics, the recommendations of the countries that successfully fulfilled the assessment criteria, the innovation in regional school system, the knowledge development in the various scientific disciplines and in the field of pupils` cognitive processes. The requirements for the development of professional competencies by improving the practical training also results from the formulated standpoint of the Ministry of Education and “The report on the state of education in Slovakia (2013). The project objectives are therefore oriented at identification of adaptive instructional strategies applying cognitive-based approach for the development of critical and creative thinking of students and other key psycho-didactic topics and strategies in specific subject field didactics and their practical implementation in the undergraduate teacher training education for secondary level through The centre of excellent practical training. The Centre for practical training would provide space for presentation of conceptual instructional strategies of individual subjects and their coordination with the field didactics, as well as for creating, observing and analyzing teaching situations and teaching strategies which implement the findings of modern subject field didactics, extend and improve teaching practice of the student teachers and use the "best practices" in the national and international context. The research aim is to define the standards for practical training of graduates in a wide range of teacher training study programs.
