Introduction
Eleanor Ross (BSW, MA Social Work [cum laude], PhD (Wits) is Professor of Social Work and former Head of Department of Social Work at University of Witwatersrand. She is a former editor of South African Journal of Communication Disorders and currently serves on the editorial board of Social Work in Health Care. She is an honorary life member of the South African Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Previously she was a board member of the South African Council for Social Service Professions.
