My early interests were in mathematical system theory and then I switched to communication networks. I proposed, with Baryshnikov, the Gromov hyperbolic property as the leading cause of congestion. I am currently working on Heat Diffusion protocol for wireless networks and a curvature concept to justify the capacity region. I am also active in quantum information--decoherence control, quantum networks, meso-scale population control, and topological invariants for quantum adiabatic computations.
