This paper presents the results of several real link tests performed with a low-latency HF modem. Three different configurations are presented, tested and compared with simulated results. The project involves advanced research objectives at both the coupled system and individual oscillator levels. One of the goals will be the investigation of the optimum arrangement of the oscillator/antenna elements that best fits the geometry and navigation requirements of drones, taking also into account that the avoidance of interference signals in critical situations requires reception nulls in particular directions. Another objective will be the extension of a novel nonlinear analysis methodology developed by the team for the case of unilateral injection-locked oscillators, to coupled oscillators, with bilateral injection, due to the mutual coupling.
