Introduction
Duygu Bektik holds a Ph.D. in Learning Analytics from The Open University, UK. Her Ph.D. focuses on the use of writing analytics, particularly automated analysis of meta-discourse in student writing, to support tutors’ essay assessment practices. She is currently acting as a postdoctoral researcher at The Open University, UK. Her research interests currently lie primarily in the fields of learning analytics, data visualisation, and e-assessment.
