Conference Paper
Learning contents creation supported on computer tools has triggered the scientific community for a couple of decades. However, teachers have been facing more and different challenges, namely the emergence of other delivery learning approaches besides the traditional educational settings, the diversification of the student target population, and th...
Conference Paper
The creation of computer-based design tools to help teachers in designing learning scenarios, more precisely teaching-learning activities, has great importance in education. Those tools are most valuable if enriched with special features as, for example, templates, scripts or wizards used to guide the teacher through the design process. Recommendat...

There are many questions that must be addressed in the design of teaching-learning situations/scenarios. They include: how to adapt content/activities to learner´s specific needs; how to plan corrective feedback; how to fit teaching-learning-assessment techniques to a specific educational context; how to choose the educational tools more appropriat...
Article
The utility of computer-based teaching-learning systems is generally accepted but several relevant issues remain unsolved in the design of those systems, namely, how to adapt to a learner's specific needs; how to plan corrective feedback; how to fit teaching-learning-assessment techniques to a specific educational context; how to choose the educati...
Article
This article describes the use of learning design to contextualise learning resources in a repository through the use of pre-defined templates. We advocate a close connection between a resource and its pattern of use in order to improve learning objects reuse. Moreover, we present the rationale for adopting and using learning design templates in th...
Conference Paper
This paper presents the architecture that supports the collaborative model ACEM (Advanced Collaborative Educational Model) to assist educators in the collaborative design of learning activities, supported by a high-level graphical tool. ACEM embraces the research areas of Computer Supported Cooperative Work (CSCW) and Learning Design (LD). Some fac...
Conference Paper
Full-text available
This paper presents the Advanced Collaborative Educational Model (ACEM) for conception of collaborative learning activities. It is based on collaboration between teachers through virtual interactions, reutilization, interoperability and adaptability of learning activities. The definition of learning activity is oriented to a constructivist approach...
Conference Paper

This paper describes a new learning-teaching model, ILEM (intelligent learning environment model). This model allows to design instructional programs oriented to maximize the balance of the studentpsilas intelligence skills in a blended learning. The fundamentals of our learning-teaching model are sustained on the main principles of the Triarchic T...
Article

In this paper, we present and evaluate a new learning-teaching model, ILEM (Intelligent Learning Environment Model) supported by an adaptive hypermedia application. This model operates in a blended scenario, combining online and face-to-face approaches. In the former, students interact with an educational adaptive hypermedia application, whereas in...
