Introduction
Work as a professor of neuroimaging at the Brain Institute, Natal, Brazil. Since 2006 his research has focused on using functional neuroimaging methods (EEG and fMRI) to investigate the acute and lasting effects of the psychedelic Ayahuasca. Our research group has been also involved in clinical trials testing the antidepressant effects of Ayahuasca.
