The aim of the project is to define new methodologies for estimating the bearing capacity of granular soils through the use of in situ geotechnical tests (e.g. plate load tests, penetrometric tests, etc.) or through geophysical methods and/or through their combination.

This project seeks to analyze in a holistic way, the concepts of the limits of consistency, its way of determination and current methods, in order to improve the practice of geotechnical engineering in these aspects, seeking tests with greater repeatability and operator independence . At the same time, propose new, more practical, comprehensive and exact methods.
