Introduction
My masters degree (forestry science, University of Canterbury, New Zealand) research thesis is on the economics of growing and processing pruned Eucalyptus nitens (shining gum) for solid timber. I examined sawn recoveries, grade recoveries, processing costs and product prices (particularly solid timber flooring).
