Introduction
My lab’s research seeks to understand the relative roles of evolutionary and geological history in the ecology and evolution of taxa, populations, communities, and ecosystems. We accomplish this by quantifying biodiversity patterns in nearshore, marine habitats to recognize processes that drive these patterns through time and space. The results of these studies not only provide a better and deeper understanding of biodiversity and the history of life but also aid in constraining predictions.
