Introduction
Professor Crabb’s research laboratory focuses on measurement in vision especially visual fields, imaging and eye movements. One of the main themes of his work in glaucoma is relating the different stages in the disease process to patient’s visual disability. Another theme centres on using ‘big data’ from NHS clinics to assess health service delivery of age-related eye disease. web:: www.staff.city.ac.uk/d.crabb twitter:: @crabblab

Background: The glymphatic system removes neurodegenerative debris. The ocular glymphatic outflow is from the eye to the proximal optic nerve. In multiple sclerosis (MS), atrophy of the optic nerve increases the glymphatic outflow space.
