This study adheres to find important complexity-risk interdependent causes of cost overrun in infrastructure transport projects rather considering an independent state of project risk. Aiming for addressing cost overrun problem to facilitate decision-makers, a hierarchical breakdown structure of complex elements and complexity-driven risk factors a...
New venture strategies are required to deal with the ‘conformity’ needs caused by institutional pressures and the ‘differentiation’ needs led by competitive motivations. However, it is not clear that how the strategies affect firm performance, especially in the entrepreneurial context. Drawing on the optimal distinctiveness perspective, we conceptu...
While many studies examine the impact of weak formal institutions on nascent entrepreneurial activity, little attention is paid to how weak formal institutions affect the other three phases of the entrepreneurial process, i.e., intentions to start a business, new business activity, and established business. To fill this gap, this study examined how...
Although prior research on late-career entrepreneurship has explored the effects of financial, human, and social capital on the intentions to engage in entrepreneurial activity within the domains of a developed economy, little research has investigated this scholarship in the context of a push perspective within a developing economy. This study end...
Young academics have been facing a problem of high turnover rate due to missing links between the institutions' policies and the performance. This study explores the effect of job embeddedness and community embeddedness on creative work performance and intentions to leave of young teaching staff in academic institutions in Pakistan. In this study,...
While previous studies have examined the impact of informal institutions to determine entrepreneurial activities, this paper explores the different configurational paths of informal institutions to promote men’s and women’s entrepreneurial activities across factor-driven and efficiency-driven economies. We collected data from the Global Entrepreneu...
Purpose Risk analysis plays a vital role in controlling and managing cost overruns in complex construction projects, particularly where uncertainty is high. This study attempts to address an important issue of cost overrun that encountered by metropolitan rapid transit projects in relation to the significance of risk involved under high uncertainty...
Purpose While there are many studies on the impacts of formal institutions such as government financial supporting and tax preferential policies on women entrepreneurial entry, few attempted to explore how informal institutions causes cross-country differences in women entrepreneurship. The purpose of this paper is to investigate whether countries...
In this paper we investigate the reasons behind the pirated textiles and try to address the questions of why copycats are rampant on the African textile market, their impact on textile clusters and why it is ineffectively being controlled. Taking Ghana as a sample, this study employed grounded theory methodology to explore the key factors that acco...
I am looking for an article titled "The new Arab woman" published in The Middle East. Please help me in this search. Below is the link for the exact issue of relevant magazine.
I am trying to perform mi imputation with bootstrap using following syntax:
1.mi set wide

5. egen country1=group(country)
6. mi xtset country1 year,yearly
7. mi estimate: xtreg varlist.....
8. return scalar b_a = el(e(b_mi),1,1)

I am facing following problem after execution:
Bootstrap replications (2000)
----+--- 1 ---+--- 2 ---+--- 3 ---+--- 4 ---+--- 5
insufficient observations to compute bootstrap standard errors

Recently, i am working on panel data with gaps. I find my data non-stationary after conduct ADF "XTfisher" using Stata. Afterwards, i revise the same procedure after taking fist difference or even lag(1) but unfortunately i face following problem.
Please suggest solution.
Thanks in advance
I am trying to investigate the impact of institutions on entrepreneurial activity using multiple data sources including GEM, Index of Economic Freedom (IEF) and World Governance Indicators (WGI). I am not sure whether combining these multiple sources are valid or not as data are given on different scales. GEM and IEF provides data in weighted averages while WGI had given data in percentile ranks or standardized scores. Please suggest how can i combine available data sets.
I am trying to investigate the impact of Market and State level institutional logic on entrepreneurship with the moderating effect of institutional trust. But i can't find suitable data set to measure this variable (institutional trust).
I am trying to compute R and R2 using esttab and estout. Unfortunately, Stata doesn't shows the desired values in output table. Is there any way to solve this matter?
I have been trying to combine the several years GEM and Index of Economic Freedom data sets for multilevel modelling but the problem i faced during this process, is that, few variables are in averages and some are in percentages. Please guide to resolve the matter.
Thanks in advance
While previous studies examine the impact of informal institutions to determine entrepreneurial activities. This paper explores the different configurational paths of informal institutions to promote men’s and women’s entrepreneurial activities across factor-driven and efficiency-driven economies. We collect data from Global Entrepreneurship Monitor for 56 countries for the years 2008-2013, and employed fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis to conduct the empirical analysis. This study creates awareness in potential entrepreneurs to identify a specific set of institutional antecedents that may increase the emergence of entrepreneurship in different economic clusters. This study shows that different set of institutional antecedents are essential to promote entrepreneurship that combine distinctly for both men’s and women’s entrepreneurship and in different stages of economic development.
This paper aims to explore the impact of weak and inefficient institutions on different phases of entrepreneurial process starting from intentions to start a business to established stage. Further, we are trying to find whether business networking can moderate the negative impact of deleterious institutions on each stage of entrepreneurial process.
I am trying to explore whether countries with similar religious beliefs can exhibit similar level of women entrepreneurial activities
