Introduction
Daniel Palacios is an Associate Professor in the Marine Mammal Institute and the Department of Fisheries, Wildlife, and Conservation Sciences at Oregon State University. He is an oceanographer with a primary interest in understanding the environmental factors that influence the ecology of marine megafauna in pelagic ecosystems. Currently he focuses on using satellite telemetry to characterize critical habitat, ecology, and migration, in whales, and their interactions with human activities.
