Background: Differences could exist in blood pressure measurement obtained from both arms, and it is deemed abnormal when it is equal to/ greater than 10mmHg. The elevated interarm blood pressure differences (IABPDs) have been associated with an increased risk for cardiovascular dysfunction. Objectives: This study aimed at determining the levels an...
Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs) affect body parts, with severity ranging from mild to intense. When MSDs develop in occupational settings, sequel to the physical tasks involved in the performance of work and the condition of the work-environment, they are referred to as work-related musculoskeletal disorders (WMSDs). The development and prognosis...
Objective
Properly-designed exercises and use of different physiotherapeutic modalities have been shown to be useful in the management of patients with non-specific chronic low back pain (NSCLBP). This research examined the effects of Kinesiology taping (KT) and Core-stabilization exercises (CSE) on pain intensity, lumbar range of motion, functiona...
Background: Cold application is the commonest cryotherapy method used in hospitals, homes, and schools. In this paper, we present a simple electronic device for cooling biological tissues, which requires neither water nor ice. The need for a device of this kind is born out of the quest to reduce reliance on ice which may be difficult to keep in a f...

Background: The use of high-heeled shoes (HHS)has been reported to tone calf and thigh muscles. However, there is a high risk of developing musculoskeletal discomforts/pain (MSD), including back pain, in individuals who regularly use high heels but who do not have an already existing back pain. Objective: To determine the prevalence of MSD accompan...
Background and Purpose: Osteoarthritis (OA) leads to destruction of cartilage and mal-alignment of structures in the knee joint leading to anatomic alterations of the joint. It has been identified that mal-alignment in the lower extremity is a potential factor that increases the risk of acute injury and osteoarthritis. Therefore, the purpose of thi...
Objective
Static exercises are an integral aspect of patient rehabilitation and are employed in advanced strength and endurance training programmes. Exercise is a form of self-induced stress leading to circulatory and respiratory changes, therefore, this study sought to determine the influence of age and gender on the cardiovascular responses of ap...
Background: The ultimate goal of learning is to
modify the behavior of which enhanced performance
is a critical aspect. Studies have shown that the
the pedagogical method employed to instruct students is
a core factor that influences students' ability to
