Introduction
I am a sociocultural historian specialised primarily in the early modern period (ca. 1500-1800), whose main research interests are related to a boad range of topics. Currently, I am working mainly within the field of environmental and water history, but my interests also relate to socioeconomic crises and cultural responses to situations of crisis in general. I also have an interest in the history of science and technology, and transregional approaches to a broad range of historical topics
