Introduction
Associate Professor at the Department of Translation and Interpreting at the University of Málaga (Spain). BA in Translation and Interpreting from the University of Malaga in 2004 and PhD in Translation and Interpreting (with Doctor Europeus mention) in 2009 (School of Arts' Best PhD Award, 2009). Research fields cover translation technologies, technical and legal translation and translation assessment. Research results made public in international academic conferences and publications.

María Cristina Toledo Báez examines the use of translation technology and the role of automatic summarisation in the translation of research articles. A term-based summariser is used to enhance the quality and speed of the translation of specialized texts.
