Introduction
My major research topics are Biogeography and Conservation. Local faunas and natural settings have led me to discover broader patterns of biodiversity, including determinants of rarity and biological singularity in rich, poorly studied and imperiled biotas. Project
The objective of this project will be to assess the relationship of these thermal tolerance indicators with current distribution patterns of species of Bothrops and Bothrocopias from South America.
Project
This project aims to analise different dimmensions of diversity of amphibians and snakes in the Brazilian Atlantic Forest, including species, phylogenetic and functional components. We also aim to identify possible structuring factors of diversity, as well as to assess the conservation status of these groups and to propose additional guidelines and criteria for biodiversity conservation.
Project
- Map and interpret broad scale distribution patterns in cisandean Squamates - Analyse regionalization patterns and their overlap with habitat loss and protected area systems - Test the congruence among major biodiversity currencies: richness, endemism, phylogenetic diversity and threat
