Introduction
I am an applied linguist and higher education researcher, currently working in teacher education at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and formerly at the university in Jena. My investigative focus are learning opportunities and effects of research-based learning in teacher education, using qualitative and quantitative methods. At Humboldt, I am teaching and researching in teacher education, specializing in language-sensitive teaching.

Project
The goal of this project is to develop an integrative course model which combinndes benefits of research-based learning with language education (similar to EFL/ESL). I am inquiring how to integrate a systematic, evidence-based process of professionalization within phases of school practicums, with a practical focus on the specific set-up of language conditions in the classrooms.

The goal of the project is to investigate the integration of research-based learning in teacher education for further development as well as improve understanding of mechanisms of this approach in general based on empirical evidence. Qualitative and quantitative date is combined in a mixed-methods design.
