Cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) is by far the most examined type of psychological treatment for depression and is recommended in most treatment guidelines. However, no recent meta‐analysis has integrated the results of randomized trials examining its effects, and its efficacy in comparison with other psychotherapies, pharmacotherapies and combine...

Recent metascience investigations of the N-pact factor (NF; median sample size of studies published in a journal) have revealed NFs of merely about 100 in fields like social, sport, and exercise psychology. Journal NF has also been shown to correlate negatively with journal impact factors (JIF), implying that smaller studies appear in more prestigi...

Twin-singleton differences in IQ would be of concern for many groups, starting with parents of multiples and educators, up to behavioral geneticists (who depend on twin-singleton equivalence for generalizing twin study results to the general population) and cognitive epidemiologists (who investigate IQ associations with morbidity and mortality). It is thus unsurprising that twin-singleton differences in IQ have been investigated since the advent of twin studies and IQ test batteries (Merriman, 1924). We significantly update and expand the sole meta-analysis on this topic (Voracek & Haubner, 2008).
