This paper examines the current eco-system of tools for implementing dynamic 3D audio through the browser, from the perspective of spatial sound practitioners. It presents a survey of some existing tools to assess usefulness, and ease of use. This takes the forms of case studies, interviews with other practitioners, and initial testing comparisons...

The Acoustic Atlas project, funded by the European Commission, explores a new model for experiencing scientific acoustic heritage data in the form of room impulse responses (RIRs), as real-time auralisations. The browser-based Web Audio application functions on any smart mobile device or computer running a web browser. It utilises the built-in micr...

In this thesis I will introduce my work, thoughts and process.
These vary from experiments, works in progress to completed
works made during my time here at Stanford in the MFA Art
Practice program.
Suppose the sole reason why we do anything is to produce the
sounds that such actions would cause: we build machines, for
instance, so that we can he...
This paper explores a dialogue between art and technology in the fields of interactive art, interface design and interactive music. These fields create a frame in which I present my creative project Ephemeral Gumboots, a hybrid media artwork/musical instrument that takes South African Gumboot dance and extends it as an interface into an electronic...
Questions
Question (1)
I am currently working on a research proposal about ancient auralizations and I am surprised to find very little actual audio renderings. Whilst I am sure many researchers have them, it seems that it very rarely gets published onto websites and other research platforms. Can anybody point me to either their private websites/collections or public online platforms where I might find this data? Thank you in advance.

Building an acoustic atlas of world heritage sites that can be experienced in the browser via live auralisations. Inviting researchers to contribute and share their impulse response recordings of natural and cultural heritage sites.
