Introduction
Claudia Maria Simonescu (claudia.simonescu@upb.ro) is a Professor at the Department of Analytical Chemistry and Environmental Engineering - Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology - Bucharest Polytechnic University. In 2005, she obtained the title of doctor in chemistry. Her scientific research activity is carried out in the field of nano and micromaterials synthesis and characterization, wastewater treatment, using green methods to prepare materials.
