Projects

Project (1)
Project
The project was commissioned by LEF and JRF to explore and explain the links between access to legal advice and representation (or lack thereof) and pathways into and out of destitution, building on work by Fitzpatrick et al on the definition and prevalence of destitution in the UK. The brief is to (1) review research literature on legal need and access to advice and representation; (2) develop a legal definition of destitution; (3) identify legal issues contributing to destitution and advice seeking behaviours connected to these issues; (4) identify potential advice points and barriers for those experiencing destitution.
