Introduction
Dr Chunyan Zhang specialises in sociology and primary education. Her thesis is 'China, a hybrid assemblage: identity, symbol and metaphor in a language program in Australia', which reflects her research interests on identity, individualism, China, globalisation, international education, second Language (Chinese) teaching, knowledge flow, symbol, metaphor and autoethnography.
