Introduction
I'm currently working to understand the ecology and evolution of terrestrial salamanders in the family Plethodontidae across multiple scales from biogeography to microhabitat use. This includes studies of speciation mechanisms in the highlands of Oaxaca (Thorius and Pseudoeurycea), sympatry in congeneric species in the southern Sierra Nevada (Batrachoseps), and the role of climatic and tectonic history in divergence and speciation in California and Oregon (sg. Batrachoseps and sg. Plethopsis).
