Introduction
My expertise in biomechanics and motor control of the lumbar spine is used to address 3 topics: (1) development of test protocols, based on kinematic, kinetic and surface EMG measures, to measure different trunk neuromuscular functions; (2) back muscle fatigue assessment and exercises; (3) assessment of interventions (e.g. lumbar stabilization exercises, lumbar belts) to reduce lumbar spine instability and work disability, considering pain-related psychological variables and adherence issues.
