Electric energy demand forecasting is very important for electric utilities to procure and supply electric energy for consumers sufficiently, safely, reliably, and continuously. Consequently, the processing time and accuracy of the forecast system are essential to consider when applying in real power system operations. Nowadays, the Extreme Learnin...

It is well documented that both solar photovoltaic (PV) systems and electric vehicles (EVs) positively impact the global environment. However, the integration of high PV resources into distribution networks creates new challenges because of the uncertainty of PV power generation. Additionally, high power consumption during many EV charging operatio...

Increased electric vehicle demand and uncertain electricity generation from solar photovoltaics lead to fluctuating and inefficient operation in the Distribution Network (DN). MicroGrids (MG) connecting to the DN with suitable energy trading is an effective way to solve this issue. However, proper energy trading considering grid constraints with a...

Climate change and global warming problems due to the greenhouse effect are pressing issues of the earth's planet. Reducing greenhouse gas emissions in power production is one realistic way to deal with this problem. Also, electric vehicles (EV) replacing the internal combustion engine vehicle may be the solution for the CO2 emission issue. Therefo...

The uncertainties of solar photovoltaics generation, electric vehicle charging demand, and home appliances load are the major challenge of energy management planning in the residential areas. Optimal allocation of battery energy storage systems for distribution networks based on probabilistic power flow (PPF) is an effective solution to deal with t...

Electric vehicles (EV) replacing the internal combustion engine vehicle may be the solution for the particulate matter (PM) 2.5 pollution issue. However, the uncontrolled charging of EVs would challenge the power system operation. Therefore, it is necessary to implement some level of control over the EV charging procedure, especially in the residen...

This work aims to maximize the benefit of the low-voltage (LV) level distribution system with high photovoltaic (PV) penetration by using an optimal installation of a battery energy storage system (BESS) and capacitor. The 41-bus practical distribution system located in Thailand was focused on. The comprehensive objective function regarding the foc...

This paper describes analysis, modeling and simulation of electrical transients for electric distribution systems. The proposed modeling is based on simple numerical integration called Trapezoidal integration which is able to efficiently handle some sophisticated calculation. In this paper, an abnormal condition is situated by simply adding a fault...

Question
I have tried to search on how to develop the DPL script for running optimal power flow using the AC Optimisation (Interior Point Method) function that built-in PowerFactory. However, I did not find it. If you have any suggestions or some examples of the DPL or Matlab script for this concern, please don't hesitate to advise me.

Project
The main work in this project is research in optimal charging schedules for electrical vehicles used by the residents in energy communities having renewable energy. This includes analysis of the effects of non-reliable availability of the electrical vehicles, constraints, and demands of the energy community, overarching goals of the residents as well as the impact of additional systems present (e.g. heat pumps). The tasks are to model and investigate the optimization problem under the different identified relevant scenarios and to suggest suitable actions.
