Introduction
My research is focused on the ecology of biofilms and microbial mats. I'm interested in the following themes: Diversity and functioning of biofilms & microbial mats in aquatic ecosystems. I study the diversity of microorganisms in these biofilms and their role in the functioning of ecosystems. Interactions in microbial ecosystems either between microorganisms (communication, ...) or between a host and a microorganism (symbiosis, ...)
