Introduction
We developped a model of allergy to cat and demonstrated that a molecular allergen specific immunotherapy (AIT) approach based on Fel d 1, combined with a well-tolerated immunostimulatory CpG adjuvant under endotoxin-free conditions, improves all hallmarks of allergy, both on a local level in the exposed airways and on a systemic level with the induction of a regulatory lymphocyte signature. We aim to further characterize the cellular and molecular mechanisms supporting this successful AIT.
