To investigate the use of an practice-based online portfolio to monitor engagement, the range of clinical experience, understanding and student reflection. The information will be used to improve and develop the on-campus sessions at the university and on-line learning material. We will also review the portfolio reflections to monitor how the on-line learning was being applied to their experiences in practice.
To provide an increased clinical, practice-based learning experience for our students which will better prepare them for professional practice. Blended learning will allow the students to work part-time alongside their studies under the care of a mentor to widen participation and exposure to real-life practice and problem-solving.
