Flagship Project "Towards the Sustainable Development of Peri-urban Areas" has three primary objectives: i) analysis of the sustainability of open spaces, especially agroecosystems in periurban areas; (ii) development of methods for the analysis of ecosystem services in periurban areas, iii) produce understanding and tools that are useful for public policy in terms of land use planning.
