O presente projeto tem como objetivo contribuir para o melhor conhecimento das samambaias e licófitas ocorrentes na Floresta Nacional de Passo Fundo, localizada no município de Mato Castelhano, região centro-norte do estado do Rio Grande do Sul. Adicionalmente ao inventário florístico, serão analisados os aspectos ecológicos bem como a influência de fatores ambientais sobre a estrutura da comunidade. O projeto está sendo realizada com autorização do Instituto Chico Mendes de Conservação da Biodiversidade - ICMBIo, por meio da licença 70687-1. Este estudo é parte integrante do Projeto Florestas: Biodiversidade em Florestas Naturais e Plantadas.
