Perception of elicitors triggers plant defense responses via various early signal transduction pathways. Methyl jasmonate (MeJA) stimulates defense responses in grapevine (Vitis vinifera). We investigated the involvement of various partners (calcium, ROS, reversible phosphorylation) in MeJA-induced responses by using a pharmacological approach. We...

Aim: The aim of the present investigation was to determine whether methyl jasmonate and ethylene could synergistically induce grapevine foliar cuttings (Vitis vinifera) defense mechanisms and enhance resistance to Erysiphe necator. Methods and results: We cotreated grapevine foliar cuttings (Cabernet- Sauvignon) with ethylene-releasing ethephon in...

Question
Does anybody know a good protocol to optimize pectin dissolution in citrate tampon ? We are stuck with a depot despite of heating/stirring our pectin solution for dissolution. We want a pectin solution at 1% final.
Thank you for your help.
Question
Hi everybody,
I'm planning to replace ethidium bromide by any sort of green staining (SYBER, Safe green,....) but my colleagues are firmly attach to the use of ethidium bromide. SYBER products are supposed to be more expensive, still toxic, and less efficient at DNA staining...
Have you any reference or experience to reinforce my argumentation ?
Thanks for the help !
Sincerely
