Introduction
My PhD is based at the Centre for the Conservation of Biodiversity (CCB) and the Sardinian Germplasm Bank (BG-SAR) of the Hortus Botanicus Karalitanus (HBK), University of Cagliari. At the same time, I am part of the "Sustainable Use, Seeds and Solutions" team in the Ecosystem Stewardship department of the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. My research focuses on the conservation and use of wild edible plants in the Mediterranean, with an emphasis on the islands of Sardinia and Corsica.

  • Research Assistant within the AgriHist project, looking at Indigenous Agri-Food Systems and Orphan Crops in two Tropical African crop diversity hotspots: Ethiopia and Guinea. Development of an interdisciplinary pilot methodology for effectively documenting land use change and identify the main drivers, stressing the importance of local landraces for climate resilience and food security.
