Introduction
Dr. Çalık is an assistant professor in the Educational Sciences Department of Istanbul Medeniyet University in Turkey and holds a doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction from Middle East Technical University, Turkey. Her doctoral dissertation was supported by the Turkish NSF International Research Fellowship Programme and received METU Best Dissertation Award. Her research interests include affective aspects in teaching and learning, academic emotions, self-efficacy, teaching quality.
