Visual and photoelectric observations of BM Eri does not confirm the proposed eclipsing binary nature. BM Eri is a SR-type variable star with a period of 550 days and an amplitude of 1 mag.
In this 40th compilation of BAV results, visual and photographic
observations obtained in the years 1998 and 1999 are presented on 343
variable stars giving 1032 minima and maxima.
Light variations of AF Cyg from 1980 to 1995 are presented.
IRAS 19035-0134 is found to be a Mira variable with a period of about 247 days from Stardial and TASS data.
The light curve of the semiregular program star W Cyg is discussed.
