These projects have been supported by TÜBİTAK 2209 / A Program for the purpose of scientific entrepreneurship of undergraduate students. Objectives; (i) to contribute to the practical learning of Weed Ecology course; and (ii) to encourage undergraduate students to engage in scientific entrepreneurship with a group-oriented approach. In this way, it is aimed to show the students how to conduct research activities with this activity and to support the data obtained from the study results with publication activities (such as article and / or congress participation) and to improve sociality, knowledge and experience.

The aim of this project was to determine the dimension of the broomrape problem at the national level, and the best management strategies for these weeds in main host plants; tomato, potato and lentil in Turkey. Studies of the Project are: survey and poll studies, identification of insect pests and diseases for biological control, germination biology, the use of natural fertilisers and plants with allelopathic properties, trap and catch crops, determination of optimum sowing dates and varieties, solarization and some mulch materials, studies on biological and chemical control, training and extension. Within the scope of the Project, a total of 38 researchers and 17 different organisations; including 6 research institutes and their general office, 9 universities and 1 agrochemical company cooperated to find best solutions for controlling broomrape problem in Turkey.
