Introduction
Having an academic background covering the areas of Islamic Theology, Arabic Language and Linguistics and History of Christianity, I wanted to pursue my PhD on the writings of Arabic speaking Christians who lived under Islamic rule. I have recently obtained my PhD from the University of Birmingham with the thesis entitled "Christian Morality in the Language of Islam: The Case of al-Maṣābīḥ Chapter in the Kitāb al-Majdal". I feel that the moral texts produced by Arabic-speaking Christian authors needs to be explored further. Therefore, I am planning to expand my research on this area. Secondarily, I am also very much interested in how Arabic language, as the sacred language of Islam, was adopted and used by ‘Arabophone’ Christians for apologetic purposes from a sociolinguistic perspective
