Introduction
I holds a BSc. (1988) and MSc. in Physical Education, State University of Campinas (2000) and a PhD in Health and Human Adaptation, (2009). I am known as Figueira Junior and I am currently Associated Researcher at Master and PhD Program in Health Promotion and Chronic Diseases at São Judas Tadeu University (USJT) in Sao Paulo - Brazil. I am member of the American College of Sports Medicine and the International Physical Activity and Environmental Network. My research focus on metabolic, cardiovascular, endocrine and neuromuscular adaptation in patients with metabolic-cardiovascular diseases, healthy people and athletes subjected to strength training.
