Introduction
Avni Hajdari is a Professor at the University of Prishtina (Kosovo). He is a plant ecologist with research interests in documenting traditional ecological knowledge (ethnobotany), evaluating the plant chemical diversity and in adaptive management of the ecosystems. His interdisciplinary approach enabled him to implement several projects in Kosovo and Balkans cross-border areas and to publish peer-reviewed scientific articles and book chapters in these fields.
