Introduction
As a paediatric psychologist, multi-disciplinary collaboration is central. The Food Allergy Research Group in UCC has led the field in qualitative and quantitative examination of health related quality of life (HRQL) and diagnostic methods in food allergy and measures are recommended as gold-standard by EAACI. My work also involves developing policy and practice to reduce risk and improve HRQL, including the APPEAL multi-site study, EuroPrevall and iFAAM consortia (FP6 & FP7 EU funded projects). I am CEO of Anaphylaxis Ireland and collaborate with other patient advocacy groups internationally. I am a visiting professor in paediatrics (Moscow) on the boards several EAACI committees, including Paediatric Board Section, Adolescent Task Force & Methodology Committees.
