Ancient Indian Theoretical Astronomy enthusiast. Looking beyond the limits of antiquity of Indian scriptures set by linguistics, archeoastronomy, archeology etc. Setting new goals with theoretical astronomy coupled with logic. Traditional astronomers interpret text in Surya Siddhanta (SS) to indicate a period of 7,200 years for one cycle of precession of the Earth’s axis, whereas modern science shows it to be of a period of about 26,000 years. This paper examines the apparent disagreement of 7,200 and 26,000 years and searches for internal evidence in SS.

Surya Siddhanta is an Ancient astronomy treatise dated to 580 AD by Rev. Burgess. The goal of this project is to date this book using modern astronomy, observations recorded in the book. Thereafter date Ramayana, Mahabharata war and specific verse of Rug Veda.
