Introduction
I received my PhD at the University of Minnesota and I am currently an associate professor at Istanbul Technical University, Turkey. My research converges around two themes: contemporary politics of security, war, violence, on the one hand, and politics of knowledge production, disciplinarity, possibilities for decolonizing IR, on the other. http://web.itu.edu.tr/acalkivik
