Introduction
I currently work at the Laboratory of Virology at the Centro de Investigaciones Biológicas del Noroeste (Hermosillo). Our group's research focuses on fundamental aspects of the most prevalent viruses affecting marine invertebrates (WSSV, PstDV-1, and OsHV-1), with a particular interest in the co-evolutionary relationships of hosts and their viruses.
In addition, a recent major interest of our group is the characterization of the repertoire of viral species from the Gulf of California.
