The work is devoted to the study of the structural and sorption properties of metal exchangers obtained under conditions of extraction by hydrochloric acid (1:2) of the product of interaction of tris(3-chlorosulfenyl)-2,4-aluminum pentanedionate with vinyl trichlorosilane. The reaction was considered using two organic solvents – chloroform and tolu...
Article
The water pollution with Cs + and Sr 2+ radionuclides in the nuclear fuel cycle is a pressing environmental problem. The selective adsorption of radionuclides onto inorganic sorbents of zeolite structure, exhibiting the ion-sieve eff ect, is a promising procedure for the treatment of the liquid radioactive waste formed. Titanosilicate of the CST st...
Article
Composite sorbents based on Fe3O4 and Zn-Al-LDH with different weight ratios of magnetic and sorbing phases were obtained by the precipitation method. The optimal weight ratio of Zn/Fe was 16, which resulted in a 62% increase in hydro-mechanical strength. The maximum sorption exchange capacity towards U(VI) was 268.65 ± 22.22 mg/g. The efficiency o...
Article
Layered double zinc and aluminum hydroxide modified with hexacyanoferrate(II) ions was synthesized for the first time by reverse precipitation. The obtained samples were studied by XRD, SEM, low temperature nitrogen adsorption, and their sorption characteristics towards uranium U(VI) were studied. The sorption capacity of the modified material for...
Article
Zeolites have become promising adsorbents for wastewater treatment due to their enhanced adsorption capacity, stability of crystalline structure, high porosity and surface area. One of the primary goals of our study was to assess the effectiveness of employing NaY zeolite as a sorbent and potential solid matrix for immobilizing radionuclides. In th...

Conference Paper
In the present study, we synthesized layered double hydroxides of Zn and Al, modificated with K4[Fe(CN)6]. Obtained samples demonstrated high static sorption characteristics towards Cs(I) in aqueous solution. Sorption characteristics increased with intercalation of hexacyanoferrate (II) ions in interlayer space of layered double hydroxides.
Conference Paper
In the present study, we synthesized layered double hydroxides of Zn and Al, modificated with K4[Fe(CN)6]. Obtained samples demonstrated high static sorption characteristics towards U(VI) in aqueous solution (Kd >104 when C(UO22+) = 50 mg/l and V/m = 1000 ml/g). Sorption characteristics increased with intercalation of hexacyanoferrate (II) ions in...
Article
A new approach to the use of rice straw as a difficult-to-recycle agricultural waste was proposed. Potassium aluminosilicate was obtained by spark plasma sintering as an effective material for subsequent immobilization of ¹³⁷Cs into a solid-state matrix. The sorption properties of potassium aluminosilicate to ¹³⁷Cs from aqueous solutions were studi...
Article
Hydrothermal synthesis of NaY-type zeolite was carried out and the effect of temperature on the phase composition, crystal structure, textural characteristics, particle size and morphology, as well as sorption properties to Cs⁺ ions was studied. Solid-state matrices based on NaY zeolite the Faujasite structure containing 26.1 wt.% cesium were obtai...
Article
One of the main requirements for the strategy of the efficient development of modern radiation technologies and nuclear power engineering is the safety of using nuclear raw materials and handling its spent forms as radioactive waste. In this work, a method of spark plasma sintering-reactive synthesis of ceramic materials based on SrTiO3 with a pero...
Article
An original method for producing a ceramic material based on silicon carbide (SiC) and its composite with the addition of hafnium diboride (SiC–HfB2) from organic raw materials of natural origin is pre- sented. The originality of the method is in the use of the spark plasma sintering-reactive synthesis of a powdermixture based on the product of the...
Article
A number of optimal parameters determining the efficiency and rate of the strontium removal by a granular sorbent synthesized by the interaction of KMnO4 and concentrated H2O2 solution have been determined. The optimal drying temperature was found to be 400 °C at an average grain size of 0.1–0.2 mm. The average value of the strontium distribution c...

Here, we suggest a facile and technologically available approach to synthesis of tungsten oxide-based materials implementing a liquid phase reductive precipitation followed by thermal dehydration of the obtained materials. Structure of the investigated sorbents refers to the type of tungsten bronze. Effects of annealing temperature on such properti...
Article
The study describes direct precipitation, original template, and additional thermal reduction methods for the synthesis of materials based on cobalt oxides and their composites, promising as magnetic sorbents for the selective extraction and preconcentration of uranium(VI) from aqueous media. The thermal decomposition of intermediates and the phase...
Article
Direct sol-gel, novel template, and additional high-temperature reduction procedures for preparing iron oxides and their composites, showing promise for selective sorption of dissolved U(VI) from aqueous media of various acidities, are described. The sorption activity of the materials was studied, the kinetic curves of the sorption were obtained, a...
