Introduction
Clinical psychologist, extensive clinical experience in mental health and addiction treatment. Currently work as a postdoc on a study of chronic pain+PTSD among patients with substance use disorders (NorAPT, Ahus). I am also affiliated (local project head) with a study on e-counseling for problematic alcohol use (eBA, SiV) and a clinical trial on benzodiazepine agonist treatment (BMX-study, HUH/UiB). I hold a mixed methods PhD on opioid use disorder, extended-release naltrexone, and recovery.

Background
There is a lack of knowledge on effective treatment methods for comorbid benzodiazepine dependence in populations undergoing opioid agonist treatment (OAT). Tapering and discontinuation of benzodiazepines has long been considered the standard treatment, even though there is limited evidence for this practice. There is also limited resear...
Background and aims:
Recovery from substance use disorders (SUD) has traditionally been equated with abstinence. "Personal recovery" however emphasizes recovery as a unique and personal process, supported by changes in connectedness, hope, identity, meaning and empowerment. This study aimed to examine personal recovery in people receiving extended...
Background
The opioid antagonist extended-release naltrexone (XR-NTX) in the treatment of opioid use disorder (OUD) is effective in terms of safety, abstinence from opioid use and retention in treatment. However, it is unclear how patients experience and adjust to losing the possibility of achieving an opioid effect. This qualitative study is the f...
Background
Few randomized clinical trials have explored the health effects of bilberries in humans. The aim was to test the effect of bilberry and red grape-juice consumption on visual memory, motor speed and dexterity as well as inflammatory and tissue damage biomarkers of plasma in aged men with subjective memory impairment.
Methods
Nine-week do...
Background
Extended-release naltrexone (XR-NTX), an opioid antagonist, has demonstrated equal treatment outcomes, in terms of safety, opioid use, and retention, to the recommended OMT medication buprenorphine. However, premature discontinuation of XR-NTX treatment is still common and poorly understood. Research on patient experiences of XR-NTX trea...
Background: A number of studies have shown that increased dietary intake of fruits and vegetable extracts high in antioxidants (e.g., blueberries, strawberries and spinach) can retard and even reverse age-related decline in brain function and in cognitive and motor performance in rats. This is the first placebo-controlled human study to evaluate th...
