Introduction
My current research is on different topics. I research, thanks to my activity with Coordinamento CARE, Genitori si diventa and GenitoriChe, on various social dimensions of adoption and foster care with particular attention to educational aspects. I'm also interested in math education.

Students with an adoptive background present a multiple intersectionality condition, with an overlapping of different identities: adoptive, ethnic and ability wise, which exposes them to possible multiple discriminations. This article, thanks to data collected by family associations, intends to investigate this complexity by highlighting the most i...
This work describes how young adoptees manage their hybrid identity when facing episodes of open racism or more latent, but equally pervasive, episodes of micro-discrimination. It also traces how adoptive families change their per- ception of racist and discriminatory risk, when their children grow into adulthood.

In this paper, we compare the depth of the fiber cone and the associated graded ring. To achieve this, we construct a bi-graded complex corresponding to a bi-graded, Noetherian, Hilbert filtration. The vanishing of the homology modules of this complex helps us to compare the depth of the fiber cone of the filtration and the depth of the correspondi...
In this paper we use some results related to regularity, Betti numbers and
reduction of generic initial ideals, showing their stability in passing from an
ideal to its initial ideal if the last has some simple properties.
We give a combinatorial proof of the Dedekind{Mertens formula by computing the initial ideal of the content ideal of the product of two generic polynomials. As a side eect we obtain a complete classication of the rank 1 Cohen{Macaulay modules over the determinantal rings K(X)=I2(X).
For a regular ideal I having a principal reduction in a Noetherian local ring (R;m) we consider properties of the powers of I as reflected in the fiber cone F(I) and the associated graded ring G(I ) of I. In particular, we examine the postulation number of F(I) and compare it with the reduction number of I, and the postulation number of G(I) when t...
We provide a concrete class of rings that cannot be Cutkosky's examples. Thus, we narrow the context where Cutkosky's example can be found.
In this paper we study the Hilbert coefficients the fiber cone. We also compare the depths of the fiber cone and the associated graded ring.
We provide the Gröbner basis and the primary decomposition of the ideals generated by 2 × 2 permanents of Hankel matrices.
We provide the minimal primes over the ideal gener-ated by 3 × 3 subpermanents of an m × n Hankel matrix.
Introduction The ideals generated by the minors of matrices whose entries are linear forms are not yet well-understood, unless the forms themselves satisfy some strong condition. One has a wealth of information if the matrix is generic, symmetric generic or Hankel; here we tackle 1-generic matrices. We recall the definition of 1-genericity introduc...
For a regular ideal having a principal reduction in a Noetherian ring we consider the structural numbers that arise from taking the Ratliff-Rush closure of the ideal and its powers. In particular, we analyze the interconnections among these numbers and the relation type and reduction number of the ideal. We prove that certain inequalites hold in ge...
this paper which enables these generalizations is the new concept of a trilinear form in general position. We develop and analyze the properties of such trilinear forms in Section 3. Whereas the proofs in [BBG] relied on the combinatorial structure of the a ijk , our concept of the generic trilinear form enables us to relax quite a few of the assum...
Let (R,m) be a local ring and Ian ideal of R. In this work we find conditions on Ithat allow us to describe simple relations among depth R(It), depth grI(R), depth S(I) and depth S(I/I 2). These relations are useful also from a practical point, of view since it is usually difficult to evaluate depth grI(R) and depth S(I/I 2) even with the help of a...
Let (R, m) be a Cohen-Macaulay local ring of positive dimension d, let I be an m-primary ideal of R. In this paper we individuate some conditions on I that allow us to determine a lower bound for depth grI(R). It is proved that if $J \subseteq I$ is a minimal reduction of I such that λ(I2 ∩ J/IJ) = 2 and In ∩ J = In - 1J for all n ≥ 3, then depth g...
Let ( R, m ) be a Cohen-Macaulay local ring of positive dimension d , let I be an m − m - primary ideal of R . In this paper we individuate some conditions on I that allow us to determine a lower bound for depth gr I ( R ) {\text {gr}_I}(R) . It is proved that if J ⊆ I J \subseteq I is a minimal reduction of I such that λ ( I 2 ∩ J / I J ) = 2 \lam...
Let (R, m) be a Cohen-Macaulay local ring with maximal ideal m and positive dimension d. Let us assume R has infinite residue field and let I be an m-primary ideal of R. By grl(R) we denote the associated graded ring of I and by depth grl(R) we mean depth (grl(R))M, where M is the maximal homogeneous ideal of grl(R). In this paper we individuate so...
