There are 77 species of Ascomycetes and Basidiomycetes included in the 3-rd issue of the Red Data Book of Krasnoyarsk Krai (Territory). The study area is located in Central Siberia. It stretches from the polar tundra zone on the islands in the Arctic Ocean to the desert steppes and semi-deserts on the border with Mongolia. The main waterway of the...
A visit of two mycologists from the Komarov Institute (St. Petersburg) was organized, which coincided with particularly favorable conditions for the study of fungi from alpine and subalpine communities, especially meadows. Between the valley of Ribes (Pardines and Núria, Girona) and the high valley of the Noguera Pallaresa (Lleida), numerous locali...
Hemileucoglossum pusillum was first described
from Slovakia in 2017 and is also known
from Spain. The first record in Norway was
collected as early as 2010 and is later found
almost every year since on the same spot. At
that time, little was done concerning revision of
the genera in Geoglossaceae, and the fungus
has remained undetermined until toda...
The earth tongue Leucoglossum leucosporum represents a small genus of the family Geoglossaceae (Ascomycota). The genus Leucoglossum includes only two species, which have been studied poorly due to its uncommon occurence and very scanty herbarium material. Both species have limited distribution, namely L. leucosporum in Europe and L. durandii in Asi...
Novel species of fungi described in this study include those from various countries as follows: Antarctica, Cladosporium arenosum from marine sediment sand. Argentina, Kosmimatamyces alatophylus (incl. Kosmimatamyces gen. nov.) from soil. Australia, Aspergillus banksianus, Aspergillus kumbius, Aspergillus luteorubrus, Aspergillus malvicolor and Asp...
Glutinoglossum is one of the earth tongue genera with viscid or glutinous ascocarps. Based on morphology and ITS1-5.8S-ITS2, nrLSU and tef1 sequence data, seven new species are described: G. circinatum, G. lumbricale, G. orientale, G. peregrinans, G. proliferatum, G. pseudoglutinosum, and G. triseptatum. The lectotypes for Geoglossum glutinosum var...
Nomenclatural type definitions are one of the most important concepts in biological nomenclature. Being physical objects that can be re-studied by other researchers, types permanently link taxonomy (an artificial agreement to classify biological diversity) with nomenclature (an artificial agreement to name biological diversity).
Two proposals to am...
Recorded for the first time in Slovakia, Hemileucoglossum littorale is characterized by
setose hairs on the stipe, predominantly hyaline mature ascospores and paraphyses
agglutinated by a dense brown amorphous material. Among other species of the
genus, H. littorale stands out due to short ascospores with only few septa. Our
contribution to the glo...
Novel species of fungi described in this study include those from various countries as follows: Antarctica: Cadophora antarctica from soil. Australia: Alfaria dandenongensis on Cyperaceae, Amphosoma persooniae on Persoonia sp., Anungitea nullicana on Eucalyptus sp., Bagadiella eucalypti on Eucalyptus globulus, Castanediella eucalyptigena on Eucalyp...
Arbutoid mycorrhiza is poorly known compared to other types of mycorrhizal symbiosis but it is crucial for forest plant communities by joint of tree and tree-shrub levels. It means under circumstances of drastic disturbances such as clearcut and forest fires. Pyroloids were in the scope of research which results showed their link to tree species by...
Red Data Book of the Republic of Mordovia is an official legal document. The plants and fungi included in it are protected. Their list is approved by the Government of the Republic of Mordovia. Red Data Book can also be considered as a scientific monograph, because during its preparation authors have carried out the in-depth analysis of the availab...
Novel species of fungi described in the present study include the following from Australia: Vermiculariopsiella
eucalypti, Mulderomyces natalis (incl. Mulderomyces gen. nov.), Fusicladium paraamoenum, Neotrimmatostroma paraexcentricum, and Pseudophloeospora eucalyptorum on leaves of Eucalyptus spp., Anungitea grevilleae (on leaves of Grevillea sp.)...

Leucoglossum is a small genus in the family Geoglossaceae which has long been understudied. The genus consists of two species resembling Trichoglossum due to the presence of setae, but differing in its ascospores that remain hyaline for long periods, becoming pale brown or brown only in maturity. Both Leucoglossum species are known from Eurasia, al...
The annotated list of macromycetes collected in 2007–2011 in the Pechory District of the Pskov Region during our investigation of the macrofungi of the grassland communities on calcareous soils is presented. It includes 55 species (7 — Ascomycota, 48 — Basidiomycota), among which 42 species and 1 variety are new to the Pskov Region, including 3 spe...

The article reviews section Boletus of the genus Boletus in Russia. Nowadays the porcini are being actively investigated all around the world including the use of molecular data. In Russia the porcini were stu-died in the middle of the 20th century by B. P. Vassilkov and in the late 80th by A. I. Ivanov. However, the development of qualitatively ne...

Project (1)
Project considers many-sided research of mixotrophy (partial heterotrophy) in pyroloids and orchids. We are trying to compare plants from habitats differing in vegetation, insolation and so on to consider factors influencing heterotrophy in plants. The level of heterotrophy is assessed by stable isotope (13C and 15N) analysis and comparison with fully autotrophic plant species with different mycorrhizal types. The second aim is to get data on mycobionts (either symbionts or endophytes) biodiversity and specificity by molecular studies and plate isolation techniques. Besides we are planning to study micromycetes and bacteria in orchid and pyroloid mycorrhizosphere
