The aim of this book is to investigate how traits of a mythical hero are manifested in modern culture and, to be more precise, in social beliefs about Michael Jackson. The aim of this article is to present women’s alternative autobiographical practices on the example of Audre Lorde’s “Zami. A New Spelling of My Name”. The author intentionally gives her autobiographical story a form that goes beyond the autobiography...

This chapter is to understand the notion of hope referring to Paulo Freire (1998, 2004) and Henry Giroux (1997, 2002). Following them, I assume that hope has a practical or even political dimension – it is the opportunity to meet and implement the desired change. That “desirable change” could be a social transformation that leads, among others, to...

Project
The project is focused on the phenomenon of feminization of the pandemic, that is to say, the consequences of the pandemic in the field of women’s work, both professional, care work, and housework. The aim of the project is to capture the current challenges faced by various groups of women who are academically and professionally related to the university. The collected data will lead us to identify areas of women’s work that require not only sociological reflection, but also activities in the field of labor law in the post-covid world. Therefore, the results of the project will include recommendations on the organization of work at universities.
