Introduction
My main passion is to support schools, teachers and children to embrace physical activity. I have a strong emphasis on practice driven research that makes a difference in the real world. Working with all stakeholders is central to the success of such programmes and initiatives. Key themes within my work include; physical activity across the segmented school-day, whole-school approaches to physical activity and the efficacy, effectiveness and implementation of physically active learning. I embrace a mutli-method approach to research to help understand the complexity underpinning the physical activity behaviours of individuals and the design of programs and systems to help promote physical activity.
