Introduction
I hold joint positions at the University of the Sunshine Coast (Australia) and University of York (UK). My research evaluates ecosystem conservation success, through ecological (and socio-economic) survey, primarily in tropical forests. I established and direct FoRCE and Reforest Africa, which together aim to better understand and implement tropical forest restoration. Previously, I established and directed the CIRCLE research centre, taught statistical methods, applied ecology and conservation biology, and served as an UK government adviser on conservation and zoos. Current primary donors: Australian Research Council; Flamingo Land Ltd.; Rainforest Trust.
